There have been 19 International Tamil Internet Conferences (ITIC) to date, held alternatively in India or abroad: Singapore, Malaysia, Europe (Germany), USA (Philadelphia, San Francisco), and Canada (Toronto). For each conference, INFITT had the pleasure and honor to actively collaborate with one or more regional Universities in India or abroad. The Chair of the main organizing committee IOC took care of the organizational details, the Chair of the Conference Program Committee CPC was primarily responsible to head a team of reviewers for a peer-review of submitted papers and for the selection of keynote, invited speakers. The table below gives some basic information on these conferences.
During the past 2o years, Tamil Internet Conference series has evolved to be the most important annual technical forum for all the academic researchers and software professionals working in the area of Tamil Computing. The ITIC conference proceedings of INFITT have been registered (since 2014) as a Serial Publication with the ISSN tag 2313-4887. The conference paper presenters would like to see the conference proceedings included (indexed) in major international databases such as SCOPUS for standard citation format in the journals.
