I entirely agree with Mani's views and esp. the underlined part.
Yes, there is 'cultural sorting', but the fact is there are
technical reasons
( assuming 'sorting' refers to going from more number of phonemes
to less).
We don't have to be worried about it. There will be some who will
come along and claim as usual some superiority.. but we need not
be worried by these..
