ORNL and Sri Lankan Tamil

paper presented at TamilNet'97 Conference

goes at length about Sri Lankan experience of Developing tamil input/
display methods.
Regarding the objectable glyphs being debated, they do have the
following glyphs (taken Table 7 of his paper)in their tamil glyph set:
grantha letters: sri, s, ksh, h, sa, ksha, ha, ja, jii, kshii, sii,
..
ORNL: old style Raa, Naa, naa
The paper talks about availability of ligatures to get the old style
Raa, Naa, Na,
and also old style lai, Nai, Lai and nai !!!
